We received almost an inch and a quarter of rain last evening, and another quarter of an inch early this morning, with a steady rain still in progress at 9:00 a.m. Thank you bountiful Father.

There ya go.

The best way to bring the rain down is to water the blueberries all day. It’s sprinkling already. Stay tuned.

Sold 200 ears of sweet corn today. Decided to pick a bucket this evening to bring in to shuck for ourselves. There is nothing like fresh corn on the cob. Thanks to all of our wonderful customers who stopped by today for sweet corn, green beans, squash, peppers & cukes.

Five pairs of Purple Martins enjoying some relief from the heat this evening.

Just a quick note to all of our wonderful customers: we are closed today for maintenance. We will be open tomorrow morning starting at 9:00 a.m. we will have a good supply of fresh sweet corn for the next two weeks at least, grown right here on the farm.
And we were awakened this morning at 4:30 to window-rattling thunder, followed by an inch and a half more of welcome rainfall. There was an eighth more in the gauge when we returned from church, with more possible throughout today. What a blessing.

Blessed, one inch of much needed rain just after midnight Saturday morning.

Sweet corn is ready for the summer of 2018, and we think we will have a good supply throughout the entire month of July. This looks to be the best crop of sweet corn we have grown in a number of years. This sweet corn is being grown right here in the gardens at High-Fence Farm, so it will be super fresh and super sweet.
The 4th of July is coming up in just a few days, so get some now to test out before the holiday. When you have determined that this is a must-have feature of your 4th celebrations, then come back and get a big batch for the 4th. As always, it is best to call ahead to let us know you are coming. For our on-property sales we will not pick until we know you are coming.
Don’t forget that we have most all of the other popular produce available as well: squash, cucumbers, sweet peppers, hot peppers, eggplant, okra, and in just the last few days we have started to get a few tomatoes and small batches of green beans.
